Bio/Profile
What brought you to singing I started singing in the local church choir in Lincolnshire at age 11 with my mother (we were the alto section!) and father, so family encouragement. We all played instruments too so reading music is helpful with singing but not essential. I have continued to sing in various choirs as I’ve moved around the country as it’s an enjoyable way to get to know people in each new place. In total I have been singing for more than 60 years.
What attracted you to the Kevock Choir
When we moved to work in Edinburgh, the Kevock was the nearest choir to where we live and easy to get to which was important when I was still working. The choirs I had sung in previously learnt mainly classical pieces, so the Kevock offered a variety of music styles which was a different way of singing and very attractive. |
